Hello cousins!

A while ago I went to Grammy's house and Baby Aiden was there. We got to see him and I got to hold him. He's really cute and he smiled for me. He also spit up. Gross.

Here I am with Luke at Lakeview Farms Pumpkin Patch. We got lots of big pumkins, all shapes and sizes. We have not carved them yet, but I want to. My mom says they will rot if we do it too soon.
I am posting a picture from my soccer game. Yesterday I scored my first goal of the season. This year instead of getting trophies, we are getting medals and they are really cool. They have all sorts of things on them.
Two nights ago we went to my school's Halloween Carnival. I went as a Spider Princess. I got my hair dyed in three different colors. Blue, green and black. It was a lot of fun. The reason I don't have a picture on is because my mom is sending one to Auntie Abby. You can see it there. We got lots of candy, it would have been cool if you could come. I didn't go in the haunted house, it seemed to scary. It should be a girls only haunted house because it is in the girls locker room. :)
We are going to really miss you this year at Christmas. I am doing a special song on the piano, maybe you can see it next year. We'll be sending your packages soon, so they get there in time. Hopefully your mom's bday package will be there on time too.
That's it for now, bye bye.

Crafty!

Today I finally used my sewing machine I got for my birthday. I made three rows of squares and sewed them all together. Later we will make some more rows.

I am making a quilt. I drove my mom crazy sucking on a sucker while sewing. I got it from a birthday pinata.

Here is a picture of what Luke and I did while my dad was out of town a while ago. It was pretty fun. We set up the big tent in the family room and brought in lots of art and fun things to keep us busy.

I am also including some pictures of our neighborhood camping trip that we had a couple of weeks ago. We got to stay in our new tent trailer. It was awesome, I got to walk three different dogs. I really liked it and found a dead jelly fish on the beach and we disected it. I had fun playing in the waves with my friend Keira.

I miss you guys and wish I was there to climb papaya trees with you.

Love,

Katieroo

End of Summer Fun

Hi Claire and Stella! I hear you are now in Tanzania. We went on a trip too. First to a wedding in Eugene, then we went to Coos Bay where I got a shark tooth necklace and a statue of two dolphins, and some new agates. For two whole days I rode horses. I rode three horses, one was named Little Chief, one was named Dreams and one was named Spamoni. The very nicest and easiest one was Spamoni. I loved it a lot. My Aunt Lisa has 5 horses and I rode them with my cousin Sarah. Then we went to Wildlife Safari. An emu came up to our window and pecked at it. We saw a giraffe that you might see. We saw rhinos that didn't even have a cage and they could walk right up to your car. Good thing they didn't. :) Me and my brother got to ride a camel. Did you know that camel's hump is really soft? Probably no camels in Tanzania. We saw a big boa constrictor. I wanted to hold it instead of looking at it. We saw a porqupine and a screech owl. Here are some other animals we saw. Black bears, grizzly bears, flamingos, elephants, a pond with a statue of an elephant that poured out water into the pond, gibbons who weren't in a cage, but they had water around them. They had a tire swing and they could swing their arms sooooooo far, ostrich, antelopes, mustangs, lions and tigers ten feet away, cheetahs, (the cheetah was raised with a dog named Ellie. I saw them play together. ) We saw elk, hippos, buffalo, you might see a hippo, don't let it chomp your canoe in half! I hear they can do that. Hippos are dangerous animals. We saw others, but I can't list them all. We also went to the gift shop and I got a stuffed snake, a zebra pen and an address book with a lion on it.

Today I went to school because my teacher from last year saved me a dragonfly she found that was in perfect shape. I met my new teacher and she was very nice. I saw my pencil pouch and it was my very favorite color, blue. I was the first person to put them in my desk. I realized that lots of my friends will be in my class. They even have a chalkboard, because last year we had a whiteboard instead. All the other grades have chalkboards and we get to write with colored chalk. I start school next week on the 2nd. I've already picked out my outfit. But still it's in a uniform.

That's all for now, there will be more later...

Hello from Portland

Hi Claire and Stella!

Last week we went to my cousins's house and we got to see their baby calves. They were black and really cute. They mooed a lot. Their names were One and Two. :) We also went crawdadding in a lake. My dad picked one up and Jenny even dived in to get them. She is really brave. We caught a lot of them, but then let them go.

In July I went to a camp called Willowbrook and my friend Gabrielle and I were in a play called Dr. Doolittle. We were the sick monkeys on an island. My name was Hickory and Gabrielle didn't have a name and was just called "Monkey". We also did weaving, we learned how to finger weave, and weave on straws to make belts. There was an art center where we did tye dye and beading. We made beaded wind chimes. We had a clay tent and where we did the play was called the drama tent.

I went to Camp Tilikum, your mom knows about it because she went there too. It is an awesome camp. We went swimming and jumped out a raft into the lake. We sang songs and what was really funny was for people who whined, there was a whining tree. Our counselors had very funny names. Mine's name was Goose because he got pooped on by a goose one time. And he had to swim in the river and use a girl named Sock's sock to dry his head. The theme was the 4:13 Express. Since it was train theme, we made train whistles and got to paint them. I love to blow it all the time and drive my parents crazy. It's fun to blow it though. It makes a cool sound.

Ta ta for now, I'm watching the Olympics. More later-
